I had an email from Little Devil Books to say they want to publish my book Krystal Bull Rain Dancer’ It is for ages 9+ and will be out in May or June.
So excited.
November 2012 I have won a writing competition in Writing Magazine. You had to write a piece where the subject is a bottle of perfume. Not sure when the story will be published in the magazine. I win a book The Writer’s Treasury of Ideas by Linda Lewis.
September 2012 shortlisted in the Mslexia poetry competition and also The Basil Bunting Award poetry competition.

I have sold my first article to The Best of British! This has come about due to Writing Magazine’s How to Write Articles course ( my Swanwick prize last year)
I have now finished my next book for children! Hurrah! I am now editing it and I am taking a sample to show an agent at the Winchester Writers’ conference in 2 weeks. Getting very excited for that. I love it there with lots of work shops and meeting my writing friends. I’ve also entered a few competitions again this year so fingers crossed.
Now I have to decide what my next book will be about.
April 2012. Attended a work shop in Mortlake led by the poet Ruth O’Callaghan. In the photo below she is sitting on the far left.
